Meet our core team
The Outward Heart core team is composed of mission-driven professionals who use their creative and administrative gifts to equip ministries with the tools, messaging, and support needed to effectively engage their audiences and further their impact.

Admin, design, and consulting
Dave & Alissa Wied
We are a unique blend of creative and administrative professionals who work very well as a team. Both holding BA degrees in Design and Marketing from UW-Green Bay, we bring a hands-on proficiency in various disciplines, including layout, design, photography, marketing, and writing. Dave’s work history includes being employed by Wycliffe USA in Orlando, FL, then launching an online retail business which we operated full-time for 5 years before Dave was hired as the Communications Director for a marketing firm. The Wieds then lived in Mexico for nearly five years serving at an orphanage where Dave served as the Communication Director until 2020.
Entrepreneurial and ambitious, we are ready for challenges and we thrive when able to launch and grow ideas into realities.
We currently call Wisconsin home. Like most missionaries, the word “home” is a very fluid term. Word of Grace Church commissioned us in 2013 to full-time missionary service.

Designer & brand strategist
Christa Cape
Christa is a graphic designer and brand strategist who is passionate about helping Christian nonprofits tell their stories with clarity and beauty. She joined Outward Heart in 2025 after discovering that the ministry was already living out a vision God had placed on her heart: to use design as a means of eternal impact. Christa feels deeply called to this work and is excited to serve ministries in this season through the creative skills and purpose God has given her.
Christa is the founder of Noto Designs, a graphic design studio based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where she helps clients develop meaningful visual identities and strategies that reflect their mission. She earned her degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design from Cedarville University in Ohio and has spent her career partnering with organizations across various industries to bring their stories to life through design.
When she’s not designing, Christa enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Daniel, daughter Elise, and their two energetic huskies, Louie and Togo. She also loves painting in her art studio and serving at Spring Lake Church, where she continues to grow in her faith and calling.

Jennifer Pallikkathayil
Jennifer Pallikkathayil is a professional writer from Columbia, Missouri, who is passionate about helping missionaries and ministries tell their stories. She comes to Outward Heart with more than 20 years of experience in journalism and public relations.
Her calling to help missionaries began when she was in middle school — she just didn’t know it yet — sitting at the kitchen table with her family, helping stuff and mail print newsletters to people around the world for a missionary family living in the Philippines.
Decades later, God gave Jennifer a dream to use her writing and communication gifts to help missionaries.
Jennifer is the wife of Jothi (Joe) and stepmom to Jazzmyn. She enjoys spending time with her family and kitties, hiking in the great outdoors, reading, gardening and learning about different cultures and world religions.
