Spiritual Gifts Assessment

I see most situations in life as “right or wrong,” and I feel a need to correct the wrong.

I am alert to notice and meet practical needs, and I enjoy doing them.

I like to explain Biblical truth to others in order to challenge them to grow spiritually.

I find enjoyment in seeing others take positive steps of action and growth.

I enjoy giving generously and joyfully to people in need or to projects that come to my attention.

I am able to influence others to do their best.

I like to express love and give dignity to those facing difficult life situations.

I am willing to take risks.

I enjoy organizing ideas, people, tasks or events.

I enjoy working with wood, cloth, paint or other raw materials.

I enjoy communicating God’s truth through music, drama, writing, photography, computer, video or other visual aids.

I look for ways to open up conversation with people about God.

I seek to help others feel at home or at ease in new or unfamiliar surroundings.

I often feel compelled to pray on behalf of someone or something.

I enjoy providing long term spiritual and emotional support for others.

I have “insight” about people and situations as they really are before God.

I realize there is spiritual value in meeting everyday responsibilities.

I enjoy learning myself, and often find myself testing the knowledge of those who teach me.

I tend to see life in a positive way.

I believe I have the ability to handle and manage finances well.

I find great fulfillment and joy in reaching a goal.

I am able to cheerfully serve others in difficult or depressing situations.

I am able to recognize the vision of my leader, and to help break it down into manageable steps in order to accomplish it.

I enjoy giving of myself and time, as well as my money and resources.

When a leader is not present in a group, I find myself stepping up to the leadership role.

I enjoy taking practical actions that relieve hurt or stress.

I like to bring order to my areas of responsibility.

I am attracted to groups of people that do not have anyone reaching out to minister to them yet.

I enjoy making things which increase the effectiveness of ministry.

I enjoy using the arts to capture the attention of people.

I enjoy building relationships with non-believers in order to gain an opportunity to share my faith.

I enjoy using my home to help people connect with others or to offer a refuge to those in need.

I enjoy praying for long periods of time.

I enjoy giving guidance and support to an individual or a small group of people.

I grieve deeply when others sin, and I challenge them to repentance.

I sometimes become over committed, because I find it difficult to say “no.”

I enjoy spending time in study and reflection so I can clearly present information to others.

I believe my gift of time, resources or service is an integral part of God’s plan.

I enjoy taking prayer requests, and I diligently follow through on the offer to pray.

I desire to bring wandering believers back to the fold, and to protect them.

I desire to work behind the scenes rather than lead.

It seems I have the ability to help people enjoy learning.

I am willing to challenge or confront others in order to foster spiritual growth.

I enjoy giving without the pressure of appeals.

I am willing to set a higher standard for myself in order to model my values to others.

I am often ruled by my heart rather than my head.

I am interested in how organizations “work.”

I am able to effectively serve in a variety of capacities while waiting for God to bring together a team to take over various areas of a ministry.

I enjoy working behind the scenes.

I enjoy using my musical or art abilities either alone, or as part of a team.

I challenge unbelievers to consider giving Christ and His ways a try.

I enjoy providing food, shelter, or companionship.

I pray with confidence that God hears and responds to my prayers.

I hurt for the person who has gotten off track and I desire to help them.

I enjoy finding things that need to be done and often do them without being asked.

I like to study in a systematic way.

I enjoy reassuring and encouraging those who are discouraged.

I like to give quietly, without others knowing.

I am effective at directing people.

I am concerned for people with mental, emotional and physical hurts.

I like to help develop plans and strategies to reach identified goals.

I am willing to persevere during challenging times to see something new established.

I like to think of practical, resourceful, or creative ways to use wood, cloth, paint, or other raw materials.

I need time alone in order to develop creativity and imagination.

I am able to effectively communicate the gospel.

I like to help others feel that they belong and are not alone.

My first reaction to a needy situation is a strong desire to pray.

I have the respect, confidence and trust of others.
